Vintage Kenner Star Wars Action Figure Variations…
I have to say it is really frustrating to see people being taken when I go hunting on eBay for vintage Star Wars toys. A flurry of vintage carded figure 12 backs have “suddenly materliazed” in the market place over the past year.- I am not sure what is worse seeing people being duped by the waning, everything is a POCH scams by melting a figures backside and calling it POCH or this. Many items are are not what they appear to be.
Here are some comparison pictures of an original Kenner Princess :ii a12b compared to a reproduction cardback. The original in all pictures is right or on top
Some key points to identify a reproduction or fake card back and bubble< this is list goes beyond just this figure but applies to many repros of 12k cards currently out there.

The Vintage POTF and Tri-logo 1984 Luke Stormtrooper is a tough figure to pick up clean and complete with the original helmet. The gun is also a tough piece to find and is often not identified correctly.
Reproduction helmets are available for this figure and often are not identified correctly here are examples of an original compared to reproduction helmet.
The original is always right on the tour panels below. On first inspection and form from front a neat perfect match. The reproduction forth backside has a distinct circle with a triangle above it.
From the top the original has a faint mold EP mark dead center. the repro does not.
Heres the repro on a figure compared to s custom made helmet form a vintage stormy head. It was cut off and drilled out,- Its a great looking fit to a custom Luke Stormy. !
Lastly the original gun, note roundish front and a smooth barrel – no dents.
If you are a collector or new to collecting Star Wars you need to check your Han Solo figures. The Vintage Kenner Han Solo was first released as a small head figure. And you may have one twice as valuable if you have white molded legs. Pegged the “pinhead” figure. He can be found with several COO versions. The White molded legs was an early production change to the figure. Legs painted black, molded in white. Take look in his peg holes on the bottom of the feet. He can be found on two different COO versions.
From my guide ” Vintage Kenner Star Wars Action Figure Variations of North America..
Have you ever taken a good look at FX-7 and compared the differences in his heads and also his body, There are some distinct differences of note is also the length of his neck, color of his eye. Did you also know his arm can swivel around his body?

Han Solo with a small head has been known to have two head variations for a long while. But did you know he found with two different COO marks. These guys also have distinctly different color hair, a dark brown and more reddish brown.
Not only that he also can be found with both solid legs, as well as white legs (check the foot pegs.
All the vars. of Han are shown in the figure guide.
Not all comics are the same. If you are new to collecting Star Wars memorabilia whether it may be action figures, posters or comics, even though the item may look the same there may be some distinct differences. This is the case for vintage Marvel Comics- even thought the Cover may look the same, there are differences. here are some examples of Marvel #1 form my collection.
Top left: the rare 35c in the top left,
Middle: The first edition square- 30c, the more common first edition.
Top right : the third release is the first reprint with a 30c square.
The bottom issues were released by Whitman in comic packs, the diamond reprint – baggie packs. These are worth less than the original square versions,
Vintage Boba Fett 21 back
another carded version – the 21C card with the secret Star Wars figure offer
Missing in the Kellerman Inventory a 21C Boba Fett Does Exist.
here is one re- taped shut but authentic.
yes reproduction cards exist for the 21backs but the differences are obvious, not only in the card finish, but particularly in the bubble. Some cards do say reproduction in the UPC button area.
More on reproduction carded figures and examples later.
